Deputy highlights Executive's commitment to creating conditions for the population

Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan Executive, led by President João Lourenço, has invested heavily and heavily in infrastructure with a view to creating and guaranteeing conditions for the well-being of the population, said today deputy João Diogo Gaspar regarding the construction and equipping of hospitals. , schools and others.

According to the MPLA parliamentarian, the most recent example is the Maritime Terminal in Cabinda, inaugurated on Friday by the Head of State, considering it “an important asset for everyone”, since, until then, the connection to the northernmost province of the country “was only possible through air transport”.

“I am referring, above all, to the mobility of personnel. With this opening (maritime transport), there is clearly a great advantage, having options, when maritime transport starts operating. Mobility will be facilitated. At the same time, the business flow, for example. The Angolan Executive has always thought of connecting Cabinda and the rest of the country with other types of connections, as it makes no sense to be solely dependent on air transport”, he reiterated.

From the perspective of the economist and deputy of the MPLA Parliamentary Group, with the inauguration of this maritime terminal and subsequent entry into operation, it will be able to bring added value, not only in terms of mobility and ease of staff, but will also increase the volume of business, economic growth for the provinces and the country themselves.

João Diogo Gaspar also highlighted to Jornal de Angola that this initiative will allow for the promotion and strengthening of trade, for example, Soyo (Zaire) and Cabinda, then the Luanda – Soyo – Cabinda connections, in addition to the other great advantage of being able to promote exports with neighboring countries (DRC and Congo).

“Angola, particularly Cabinda, will be able to take advantage of this infrastructure. Maritime transport will have greater intervention capacity, whether in cargo or passengers”, he underlined when reacting to the actions taken by the President of the Republic in Cabinda province.
