Africa-Press – Angola. The commander of the Southern Military Region, Lieutenant General Lucas Francisco Ndjongo, was, on Saturday, elected president of the Clube Desportivo da Huíla at a general assembly, replacing Eugénio Cristóvão, who led the club for a decade.

At the same meeting of members, José Luís Nogueira, David Neto and João Cristóvão were also elected as vice-president, general director and director of football, respectively.

Ezequias Domingos was reappointed to the position of administrative director, while João Binda, Luís Garrido and Mateus Tchioleca, appointed to the positions of director of football, director of communication and marketing, and director of training schools, respectively.

Francisco Ramos da Cruz becomes chairman of the General Assembly, Carlos Damião vice-president and Carlos Alberto Cebolo becomes secretary of the general assembly.

Speaking at the election ceremony, the new president, Lucas Francisco Ndjongo, stated that he will work with everyone to place the CDH in the top positions.

He admitted the difficulties he may encounter, but he believes the squad will perform well at Girabola, so that it becomes an indispensable pillar of the sport in the southern region of the country, where it is the only representative in national competitions.
