Africa-Press – Angola. The Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Angolan Communities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Mirex), Domingos Vieira Lopes, highlighted, this Tuesday, the country’s strategic vision aimed at economic diplomacy, as a mechanism for attracting foreign investment.
The Secretary of State highlighted this aspect, in Luanda, when opening a training session on “Strategic Alignment, within the scope of Economic Diplomacy as a mechanism for attracting investments”.
In his intervention, the diplomat considered it necessary to reinforce cooperation and establish partnerships, given the potential of existing resources, in order to reaffirm Angola in the context of Africa in the world.
The training action, aimed at senior staff of the Angolan Diplomatic Missions, focused on attracting investment and promoting exports, for the internationalization and diversification of the national economy.
During the event, the speakers gave an exhaustive approach to the initiatives of the Strategic Plan of the Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX), which involve a significant increase in actions to attract financing in the geographies identified as priorities.
The aforementioned training, carried out in a hybrid format (virtual and in-person), was aimed at the Diplomatic Missions of Angola and was a promotion by AIPEX.
AIPEX’s mission is to attract foreign direct investment to the country, as well as helping national companies find viable markets to export their products and consolidate their internationalization.
