Africa-Press – Angola. The Apostolic Nuncio to Angola and São Tomé, Bishop Giovanni Gaspari, ended Sunday, his four-day pastoral visit to the Diocese of Uíge, with the ordination of two priests.

This Sunday’s mass marked the end of the activity agenda of the representative of Santo Papá to the province of Uíge, held at the Pavilhão do Futebol Clube do Uíge (FUCU).

After the ordination of the priests, Bishop Giovanni Gaspari appealed to the new priests for unity and humility, aiming at a good performance of their activities.

During his stay in Uíge, Dom Giovanni Gasperi visited teaching institutions of the Catholic Church, the major seminary of São Paulo, held separate meetings with the deputy governor for Infrastructure and Technical Services, Helena Pereira, and with associations and movements religious.

After arriving in the city of Uíge, Bishop Giovanni Gaspari paid homage to Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Uíge, Bishop Francisco da Mata Mourisca, who died on 16 March in Luanda, a victim of illness.

During this Sunday’s mass, where two priests were ordained, Monsignor Giovanni Gaspari appealed to new priests for unity and humility.
