Africa-Press – Angola. Politician Domingos Lote announced this Thursday his candidacy for the position of provincial secretary of the Social Renewal Party (PRS) in Lunda-Norte, whose assembly is scheduled for March this year.
In office since 2017, Domingos Lote is so far the only candidate for his own succession.
According to Domingos Lote, applications for the position close on the 19th of this month, to give candidates time to carry out their campaigns.
He made it known that municipal renewal assemblies are already taking place at the level of basic structures and in the municipalities.
He said that if he is re-elected to the position, he will work to strengthen the bases, boost the party’s actions in the communities and reinforce the recruitment of militants, “to rescue the party’s mystique” in the region.
He said that the big challenge will be to elect deputies in the next elections (2027), “making peace with the disagreeing militants”.
In the current legislature and/or mandate, the PRS has two deputies in the National Assembly.
