Africa-Press – Angola. At least 60 young people from Missombo commune, which is 18 kilometers from the city of Menongue, Cuando Cubango province, benefited from professional kits, within the scope of the Action Plan for the Promotion of Employability (PAPE).
The head of the provincial services of the National Institute for Employment and Professional Training (INEFOP), Xavier Tchicuata, said that the professional kits delivered to young people in the Missombo commune include civil construction material, plumbing, painting, metalwork, cutting and sewing, barber shop, hairdressing, cooking, pastry, gardening, manicures and pedicures.
Xavier Tchicuata said that the 60 beneficiaries of the Missombo commune will initially allow the creation of more than 100 direct jobs, which will enable many young people to have their first job to support their families.
He said that, in addition to the delivery of professional kits, the beneficiaries will also attend training courses related to agriculture, taking into account the great potential that the region offers for the development of agricultural activity.
He stressed that INEFOP will continue to work to fight hunger and poverty among young people, helping this fringe of society to invest in self-employment, since every professionally trained citizen can be a source of employability.
Xavier Tchicuata said that it is INEFOP’s intention to extend its services to the other six municipalities in the province of Cuando Cubango, with the exception of Menongue, Cuchi and Cuito Cuanavale, so that all young people can contribute to progress and prosperity, giving the hope that the insertion policies in the labor market are valuable instruments for the fight against hunger and poverty.
“We don’t want to leave any entrepreneur out, but for that, we need the help of the Government of Cuando Cubango, so that we can reach all the places where there are people capable and willing to help the country to develop more and more”, said.

The deputy governor of Cuando Cubango for the Economic, Political and Social Sector, Adélia Muambeno, said that with the increase in beneficiaries in terms of professional kits and micro-credits, employability levels at the province level will increase and poverty will considerably decrease. within communities.
Adélia Muambeno said that the Action Plan for the Promotion of Employability (PAPE) came to mitigate the unemployment rate that affects youth. She added that there is an urgent need for young people to go to INEFOP services, so that they can be equipped with professional techniques that can contribute to their income in the future.
He recalled that PAPE is a program approved by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, through decree number 113/19, of 16 April, supervised by the Ministry of Public Administration, Employment and Social Security, which provides for training, throughout the country, about 30,000 young people. PAPE has a budget of 21 million kwanzas, for the granting of ten thousand micro-credits and the distribution of 42 thousand professional kits.
On the occasion, the minister appealed to all the beneficiaries of the professional kits not to sell them. Those who received micro-credits were advised to apply them well, so that they can provide employment opportunities for other young people.
