Africa-Press – Angola. The government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) plans to install diplomatic services in Saurimo (Lunda-Sul) this year, with a view to facilitating the resolution of various visa, identification and other issues.

The intention was expressed Thursday, by the consul of the DRC embassy in Angola, Ilunga Chimatu, during a meeting with the governor of Lunda-Sul, Daniel Neto, whose objective is to bring diplomatic services closer to its citizens.

On the occasion, the diplomat stated that there have been many constraints on the mobility of his fellow citizens to process various documents, who are sometimes forced to travel to the neighboring province of Moxico, Luanda and Dundo, to resolve their situations.

For his part, Daniel Neto made it known that the government of Lunda-Sul is open to working with the DRC in materializing the project, as the region borders this country, through the commune of Chiluage, municipality of Muconda.

According to an agreement given by the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME) in Lunda-Sul, without providing numbers of controlled DRC citizens, it reveals that 40 citizens were expelled in the first quarter of the current year for illegal stay.
