Drumond Jaime says that the company will lose about 60% of its workforce, mainly in the newsroom, as it has many professionals with 30 to 35 years of work, close to the phase of reform by law.

“Strategically, we are making this generational change, bringing in new staff from universities. Those cadres are fundamental, and the older ones that will be the link to help the younger ones to understand the world development, in the field of social communication”, he reinforced.

In turn, the Chinese ambassador to Angola, Gong Tao, who gave the lecture, promoted by Edições Novembro, assured that the embassy will bring the parties together, being open to other media companies that are interested.

He reinforced that the aforementioned partnership may be aimed at training, experience and exchange of content, infrastructure and equipment in the digital field.

The two countries are strategic partners, with political-diplomatic and cooperation relations that have known a notable increase since 2000, leading to the signing of various legal instruments in the social, commercial and business domains.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of political-diplomatic relations between Angola and China.
