Africa-Press – Angola. Interclube’s assistant coach, Helder Domingos, said (Friday), in Luanda, that efficiency and determination made all the difference in winning the unprecedented Angola Cup in senior men’s basketball.
Speaking to the press, at the end of the match in which his team beat Petro de Luanda by three points (75-72), Apolinário Paquete’s assistant acknowledged that the team had made mistakes, despite the triumph.
The coach stated that the opponent depends a lot on the effectiveness of three-point shots and that I wasn’t doing well in that match.
Hélder Domingos stressed that, with the victory of the Angola Cup, the responsibility increases both for the technical team and the players.
Interclube wins its first trophy in the Angola Cup, the second biggest national competition in the sport.
In turn, Petro de Luanda’s assistant coach, Raul Duarte, highlighted that the objective is to be a candidate in all the competitions that the team is involved in and to win, with losing the Angola Cup being just one of the objectives that has not been achieved.
1o de Agosto is the leader of the ranking with 15 trophies, followed by Petro de Luanda (14).
