Africa-Press – Angola. The Cabinda Provincial Electoral Commission is preparing nine technicians in electoral matters to train the members of the polling stations, within the framework of the organization of the General Elections of 24 August.

The training, which started on Tuesday, is based on the processing of content related to operations related to the creation of conditions for access to the polling place, the organization of polling stations, the moment of voting, counting of votes, filling in minutes, sending summary minutes, rights and duties of Electoral Agents.

National trainers Jadson de Sousa, Marta Bartolomeu and Bernarda Santos are the staff who, for five days, will guide the work.

The provincial commissioner Alfredo da Silva Gomes, at the opening of the session, representing the president of the Provincial Electoral Commission (CPE), João Cardoso Mandafama, highlighted the sensitivity of the electoral process, having alerted to the responsibility and application of the patriotic sense that should guide the trainees, so that they are able to respond to the demands of the elections.

Training In Saurimo

The interim president of the Provincial Electoral Commission (CPE) of Lunda-Sul urged, in Saurimo, members, in training to work at polling stations, to observe rigor in carrying out their tasks.

Mário Costa, who said these words at the opening of the training action, said that the activity aims to provide participants with the necessary tools to organize, with transparency and smoothness , the process of counting votes, as well as ensuring that similar procedures are carried out smoothly. He added that the training cycles will allow for the insertion of 150 members at the provincial level.
