Africa-Press – Angola. The Broad Convergence for the Salvation of Angola – Electoral Coalition (CASA-CE) opened the political year in Luanda on Monday (31), having emphasized, as one of the strategies, the continuous mobilization of the people for the Electoral Registration process. unofficial.
In the opening speech of the political year, the president of CASA-CE, Manuel Fernandes, defended that there is more and better information about the process underway in the country.
“We are concerned about the low publicity of the process in the public media, the weak institutional campaign to raise awareness among citizens of active electoral age, as well as the logistical limitations to which representatives of political forces deployed to inspect the Registry are subject.
As the third political force in the country deployed in 164 municipalities, Manuel Fernandes said that he is aware of the weaknesses and the ability to overcome them, but admitted the potential of CASA-CE .
“We are going to put it into practice on the basis of science, wisdom, insight, resilience, courage and faith. Our struggle for reaching political power is legitimate and patriotic and no one should keep us away from it. We are participants in the political game and we will compete for next general elections scheduled for next August, as a political force with a vocation to power”, he reaffirmed.
Manuel Fernandes reiterated that he has recently taken on the challenge of designing a governance program for the 2022-2027 five-year period, which will be submitted for public consultation, this month, for 45 days.
“This is the year of general mobilization for electoral victory. To this end, we must quickly and efficiently resume the 1+5 model of mobilization, that is, each leader, militant and sympathizer of CASA-CE must mobilize, weekly, five new members and transform them, each one of them, into mobilizing five more members and so on until the final victory”, he reinforced.
For 2022, he continued, the pursuit of the objectives requires competence, determination, discipline, rigor, dedication, creativity, science, imagination, a high sense of responsibility and statehood. “These are the virtues that should move us throughout the work of raising awareness and mobilizing citizens in favor of our cause, which is to save Angola in order to fulfill the Angolans”, he said.
He regretted the atmosphere of tension between the political actors, largely due to the muscular, harsh, unfriendly and unwise speech produced by party officials at the door of yet another election.
