Africa-Press – Angola. The energy sector saw an increase in the electrification rate from 36% in 2017 to 43% in the first quarter of 2022, the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, announced Saturday in Luanda.
Speaking about the State of the Nation, The Head of State said that the installed power went from 2.4 Gigawatts in 2017 to 5.8 Gigawatts in the first quarter of 2022.
According to João Lourenço, the number of household connections increased from 1,276,000 in 2017 to 1,787,000 in the first quarter of 2022.
