He said that the ELP is a central instrument of the National Economic System and its main objective is to establish a long-term vision for the country’s development, through the identification of central actions that should be implemented in the coming years, with a view to achieve the established objectives.

He referred that the objective is to obtain contributions from the great public and private, collective and individual actors with high experience and knowledge in the different sectors of activity in the country.

He called for the participation of all social actors in Lunda Sul so that a broad and more realistic consensus can be gathered in responses to the expectations of the Angolan population.

In turn, the vice-governor for the Political, Economic and Social sector, Mendes Gaspar, asked the participants to contribute with concrete proposals so that the Executive, through the Ministry of Economy and Planning, can establish macro-economic alignment with the different segments and social actors, whose action will contribute to the development and well-being of the population.

The document, of more than 400 pages, is a long-term strategic tool, as a basis for the elaboration of the National Development Plan (PDN), which presents the strategic development options, based on analysis of scenarios, to national, sectoral and territorial levels.
