Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan ambassador to Zambia, Azevedo Francisco, presented the electoral framework to the authorities of that country, after the completion of the Unofficial Electoral Registration process, having requested, in this sense, institutional support for the observance of customs exemption in the entry of electoral material from Luanda .
Azevedo Francisco, on the occasion, delivered a letter from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, to his Zambian counterpart, Stanley Kasongo Kakubo, who, in turn, guaranteed full support for the holding of elections in his country. The Angolan community in Zambia will vote at the Embassy premises in Lusaka and at the General Consulates in Solwezi and Mangu, respectively. Diplomat Azevedo Francisco, who provided the information on Wednesday, assured that electoral material and other logistical means, inherent to the preparation of polling stations, will soon arrive in Zambia.
The Angolan ambassador made it known, in this regard, that political parties and coalitions with representation in Zambia can start their activities within the scope of the electoral campaign, after the call for General Elections by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.
