Africa-Press – Angola. Several public and private officials were satisfied this Monday in this city with the progress of works in the centrality of Saurimo (Lunda Sul) which this year will begin to receive the first residents, with the delivery of 212 residences in the first phase.
At the moment, the installation of ceramics is taking place in the interior and then, doors and windows will be installed, as well as sidewalks and some basic services.
Justino Kimbele, an employee of the private sector, said that the end of the first phase of the centrality was an added value, so that the first inhabitants can give another life in that district.
He explained that when registration opens, he will apply, because he currently resides at his parents’ house.
Manuel Guerra, a civil servant, is of the opinion that the centrality, long awaited by city dwellers in the region, will contribute to improving the quality of life and living conditions of many inhabitants.
Fernando Tcheleka, businessman, referred that the delivery of the first phase of 212 residences constitutes an asset for many young people who yearn for better living conditions, congratulating a whole set of efforts by the Executive in its conclusion.
Recently, the Minister of Public Works, Urban Planning and Housing, Carlos Santos, confirmed that this year 212 T3 and T4 apartments will be delivered, out of the 1,800 in the first stage of construction of the Saurimo Centrality.
The Centrality of Saurimo will have buildings with four and eight floors. The project covers the construction of three thousand homes, in four stages.
