Africa-Press – Angola. Four ex-military cooperatives, in the municipality of Soyo, Zaire province, will benefit from motor boats to promote artisanal fishing, as part of the anti-poverty program.
The information was provided this Tuesday, in Soyo, by the municipal director of the Office of Studies, Planning and Statistics of the local Administration, Isidoro Francisco Baba, who was speaking to the press.
The fishing equipment to be delivered, valued at 30 million kwanzas, also includes outboard engines with 45 horsepower each and other material, to benefit 40 ex-soldiers, according to the official.
Isidoro Francisco Baba foresees improvements in the living conditions of the beneficiaries, with the delivery of these fishing artifacts by the Municipal Administration.
The sea coast of the province of Zaire, rich in fish of various species, is 250 kilometers long, crossed by the municipalities of Soyo, Nzeto and Tomboco.
