Africa-Press – Angola. Seventy-seven administrative infrastructures are being built in the country, as part of the creation of objective conditions for the implementation of municipal power

The information was provided by the Minister of Territory Administration (MAT), Dionísio Manuel da Fonseca, adding that the infrastructure includes buildings for municipal assemblies and municipal residential complexes.

He explained that 80 percent of the construction works for these infrastructures have already been assigned and are in the execution phase at satisfactory levels, of which 60 percent will still be inaugurated, during the first half of this year.

The minister who spoke to the press this Thursday at Lucala, at the end of his 48-hour working visit to Cuanza Norte province, pointed out the implementation of local authorities as a national commitment and a challenge for state administration, in which MAT will do its best to ensure that they are carried out within the deadlines that have been defined.

During his stay in Cuanza Norte, Dionísio da Fonseca noted the progress of various ongoing actions in the province, included in the Integrated Plan of Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM), in the municipalities of Cambambe, Samba Cajú, Banga, Bolongongo, Lucala, Cazengo and Quiculungo.

The province has registered 86 projects in the PIIM, of which 41 have already been concluded and 30 are in execution.

The official’s visit to Cuanza Norte is part of MAT’s strategy of helping and controlling provincial governments and municipal administrations, with a view to boosting local actions to improve the quality of services provided to the population.
