Africa-Press – Angola. Experts from Angola and Côte d’Ivoire met, this Monday, in Luanda, to prepare the 1st session of the Bilateral Cooperation Commission between the two countries, to be held on Wednesday, in the Angolan capital.
According to a press release, the work is being co-supervised by the director of international cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Mirex), Carlos Sardinha, and the deputy director of the office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Côte d’Ivoire, Dieket Sanganoko.

The meeting of experts aims to evaluate the ongoing projects between the two countries, review the agreements in force, as well as the constraints for the materialization of the commitments made between the parties.

In his address, Ambassador Carlos Sardinha defended the strengthening of cooperation in the most varied areas, with particular emphasis on the rehabilitation and modernization of the transport and telecommunications system, training, health, medical and medication assistance.

Likewise, the restructuring of the public administration system and tax incentives to increase foreign investment in the Angolan economy.

Subjects in the areas of Interior, Territorial Administration, Tourism, Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Health, Culture, Environment, Higher Education, Education, among others, will also deserve focus.

The first session of the Bilateral Cooperation Commission between the two countries takes place 39 years after the General Agreement on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation was signed on June 19, 1985, in Yamoussoukro (Cote d’Ivoire).
