Africa-Press – Angola. Improving the communication of forces in tactical-operational actions, through the acquisition of radios within the bodies, was recommended, this Thursday, in Huambo, by the Telecommunications and Information Technology specialists of the National Police.

In the final communiqué of the metrological concentrate of this National Police body, the participants envisage the creation of a local communication channel for the Rapid Intervention Police (PIR) during joint interventions in the activities of major events.

They considered it the duty and obligation of the heads of the bodies, within the framework of the implementation of the police corporation’s private network, to have more engagement and initiatives, with a focus on exploring the different means, applications and integrated systems available.

They added that this engagement will facilitate access to information sharing and, at the same time, timely decision-making by commands and bodies of territorial units.

They recommended that bodies request, whenever there is a training plan, similar to current procedures, provincial commanders and national directors, the need for specialists to travel to Luanda, with emphasis on those from the future Huambo Command and Control Center in the pipeline. of operationalization, with the aim of raising their levels of technical-professional development.

Opened on Wednesday, under the motto “Standardize telecommunications to standardize services”, during the event the assessment report on the degree of compliance with the guidelines issued at the level of telecommunications and information technology bodies, centers and units was assessed. territorial

In depth, they discussed the need to standardize the technological environment in all bodies and commands on the basis of the process of expansion and implementation of the National Police’s private network, in light of the directive approved by the corporation’s general commander.

At the meeting, led by the director of Telecommunications and Information Technologies of the National Police, Commissioner José Agostinho Paulo, participants were informed, among other matters, of the project to develop radio communication systems, for public security, with resources for video surveillance and the new paradigm.

They also became aware of traffic and information security, as well as the expansion and implementation of technological systems, with the increase in the process of dematerialization of the National Police’s administrative services.

It served to create strategies for the practical execution of projects in the specialty, combined with the Strategic Development Plan of the National Police, for the period 2022-2027, in addition to providing technicians with knowledge about the technological advances being developed in the corporation and beyond..

The metrological concentrate also aimed to gather contributions in the specialty, to facilitate the process of technological development, combined with the Executive’s plan related to process simplification, with a view to bringing closer and reducing the bureaucracy of public services to citizens.
