Africa-Press – Angola. The Provincial Delegate of the Interior, Timóteo Abreu, praised, this Monday, in Moçâmedes, the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) as guarantors of the maintenance of National sovereignty, territorial integrity and the defense of peace.
The official, who was speaking at the provincial event celebrating the 32nd anniversary of the FAA, on behalf of governor Archer Mangueira, stressed that the advances recorded are in line with the Executive’s intentions, regarding the efforts that have been made to improve the social conditions of the staff in particular, and the population in general.
On the occasion, Commissioner Timóteo Abreu encouraged the armed forces to continue to pursue actions that respect the fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Angola and the law.
“The Namibian population continues and will continue to trust in the work provided by the Angolan Armed Forces and therefore I encourage you to remain firm and strong in the pursuit of your noble mission”, he said.
On the other hand, the head of the Unified Command Post, Miguel Fontes, said that at this time, when the 32nd anniversary is being celebrated, the Angolan Armed Forces remain ready to serve the Fatherland, based on the permanent reinforcement of the pillars of discipline, hierarchy and the Single Command.
“The Armed Forces constitute the reason for National pride, they embody in their essence the highest values of patriotism and citizenship”, he recalled.
The head of the Unified Command Post highlighted that over the years the FAA has trained its staff to carry out missions with professionalism, bravery and patriotism, committed to National Unity.
The 32nd anniversary celebration ceremony takes place under the motto “FAA guarantees national peace and stability”.
