Africa-Press – Angola. Petro de Luanda’s main team (national champion) will complete a pre-competitive training camp in Portugal in the next few days, due to the interregnum of the I division National Football Championship, Girabola’2023/24.
The information was provided, by a source from the “oil” club, without advancing the departure date and the Portuguese region chosen for this preparation.
The internal competition was interrupted due to the participation of the National Honors Football Team in the African Nations Championship (CAN), taking place from January 13th to February 11th, in Côte d’Ivoire.
The restart of Girabola, with the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), will depend on the performance of the Palancas Negras in the continental competition, and is scheduled for January 26th (end of the first phase) or February 2nd, after the round of 16.
The “tricolores”, it should be noted, provided four players to the national team, namely Kinito, Tó Carneiro, Eddie Afonso and Gilberto.
Petro occupies second place in the Championship with 17 points, in the competition led by Kabuscorp do Palanca with 21.
