Africa-Press – Angola. The 2023/2024 football season opens next Saturday at the Ombaka stadium, in Benguela, with the Angolan super cup dispute, between Petro de Luanda (national champion) and Académica Lobito (defeated Cup finalist).
The information was shared on Sunday on Radio 5, by the president of the Sports Technical Council of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), José Neves.
According to the official, the start of the National Championship of the I division, Girabola 2023/24, should take place on the 13th of the current month, with the possibility of a new draw or maintenance of the recently prepared schedule.
Remember, the season was initially scheduled for September 3rd, at the Tundavala stadium, in the city of Lubango (Huila), but was postponed due to the “corruption” case, which involves the clubs Petro de Luanda, Académica do Lobito and Kabuscorp do Palanca.
Also indicted are the president of Kabuscorp do Palanca, Bento Kamba, the general secretary of the same sports association, Marximina Luzia Bernardo and coach Agostinho Tramagal.
