Africa-Press – Angola. The former combatants and veterans of the homeland in the province of Zaire requested, this Saturday, in Mbanza Kongo, the construction of housing fires in favor of this fringe and their families.

In a message read on the occasion of the central act of February 4, the Day of the Beginning of the Armed Struggle for National Liberation, those assisted also asked the supervising ministry to make more agricultural inputs available for the dynamization of agricultural and fisheries cooperatives in the region.

They were satisfied with the process of re-registering former combatants and veterans of the homeland underway across the country, promising an improvement in their social conditions and the consequent increase in the monthly subsidy.

They thanked the attention that the Provincial Government has given to the problems of former combatants and veterans of the homeland, war disabled and their families.

The Provincial Cabinet of Former Combatants and Veterans of the Fatherland in Zaire controls 4,155 people assisted.

Under the motto “Preserving the values ​​of the Homeland, Let’s honor our Heroes”, the central act of the 4th of February was presided over by the Minister of State and Head of the Military House of the President of the Republic, Francisco Pereira Furtado.

It was attended by ministers, state secretaries, deputies to the National Assembly, traditional and religious authorities, defense and security forces, former combatants and veterans of the homeland and popular people.

The festivities program reserves for this afternoon a music-cultural session to be enlivened by national musicians and by the musical group Zaiko Langa Langa, from the neighboring DRC.
