Africa-Press – Angola. The National Futsal pre-selection team began today, Friday, in Lubango, Huíla province, a short preparation period for the games on the FIFA date, against Morocco, to be played between the 10th and 19th of April, on Moroccan soil.
27 athletes from different clubs and provinces who make up the selection were summoned, who will work for three days on their preparation to project the dispute in the Kingdom of Morocco.
For preparation, the team will do physical and technical-tactical training in two-day sessions, as well as participate in a competitive mini-tournament, at the Nossa Senhora do Monte pavilion, in the morning and afternoon to better prepare for the disputes.
The idea is to play three games against Morocco, all on FIFA dates, on the 11th, 13th and 15th of April, disputes that can be scored to improve Angola’s world ranking, which currently occupies the 46th position and fourth in Africa.
The province of Huíla has only one athlete in the group, who defends the colors of the Estela do Palácios team, pre-selected to be part of the men’s senior national team. This is the central Bustah.
Due to the selection of the athlete from Huila, the technical secretary of the Provincial Futsal Association of Huíla, Celestino David, considered it positive, despite admitting that there are more values to be part of the selection.
He believes that Huíla will have more players in the next calls, especially those who better interpret the game strategy.
Meanwhile, Bustah said he was happy to be called up to the senior men’s Futsal team once again and thanked his teammates, coaches, his parents and friends, who have supported him directly and indirectly.
“Every player wants to make the National Team. The secret is to continue working with dedication and will to achieve this goal, “he said.
