Africa-Press – Angola. The acting governor of Cunene, Apolo Ndinoulenga, appealed this Saturday, in Namacunde, to businesspeople to diversify their investments in different areas of this province, with a view to contributing to the social and economic development of the region.
The leader, who spoke during the inauguration ceremony of the new terminal of the road transport company “Huambo Expresso”, located in the border area of Santa Clara (Namacunde), defended the need for more investments in different sectors of commercial activity, as a way of promote socioeconomic development at provincial level.
He highlighted that the province of Cunene has many areas of interest for exploration, a fact that motivates national and foreign businesspeople to embrace these opportunities.
“Private investment is important, as it is the main lever that allows the growth of any economy, in order to satisfy the population’s needs”, he acknowledged.
Regarding the inauguration of the new terminal, Apolo Ndinoulega praised the arrival of the Huambo Expresso service, which allowed the creation of 60 direct jobs for local youth.
In turn, the head of the transport company Huambo Expresso, Luís Filipe, said that the main routes are the provinces of Cunene, Huíla, Benguela, Cuanza Sul, Cuanza Norte and Luanda. This road transport operator has a fleet of 70 vehicles for passengers and goods.
In addition to this operator, the province of Cunene has inter-provincial carriers Macon, Ango Real and Jubita.
