Africa-Press – Angola. The road connection, on the main secondary and tertiary roads of the communes that make up the province of Lunda-Sul, will be improved in the near future, with the construction and rehabilitation of metal bridges, assured, this Thursday, the provincial governor, Daniel Neto.

When speaking during the III ordinary meeting of the local government, the governor said that this initiative will improve the fluidity and speed of traffic at the province level.

On the occasion, he recalled that the respective undertaking is a project that has already started in some locations in the province, which is why it is imperative to continue it, for the well-being of the populations.

Regarding the promotion of sport in that district, the governor said that, so far, the province is on the right track, with the performance of the Clube Desportivo da Lunda-Sul, due to the satisfactory campaign it carried out in the first round of Girabola2023/24, a fact that motivates the local government to invest in the rehabilitation of large sports infrastructures, for all levels, with a view to the massification of the different sports practiced.

On the other hand, Daniel Neto called on local authorities to preserve the environment, by creating new polygons and taking care of existing ones, as Lunda-Sul is an area with a lot of erosion that appears every day.

During the III ordinary meeting of the local government, the construction and rehabilitation program for metal bridges, secondary and tertiary roads in the province was analyzed and approved, as well as the status of sports infrastructures, the preparation and organization plan for the creation of new polygons. forestry.

The opportunity also served to evaluate the actions carried out by the basic sanitation monitoring committee and market reorganization, among other issues.
