Governor Pays Tribute to Deputy Monteiro Eliseu

Africa-Press – Angola. The governor of the province of Huambo, Pereira Alfredo, paid tribute on Tuesday to the Member of the Parliament of the Electoral Circle of this region, Monteiro Eliseu, who died last Sunday, victim of illness, in the local Sanatorium Hospital.

Speaking to the press, after signing the book of condolences at the Huambo Electoral District Deputies Support Office, the governor stated that the province lost a son and an easy-going person, who contributed greatly to the country’s development.

“We are appalled by the physical death of deputy Monteiro Eliseu, as we could not remain indifferent in the face of this situation, as it dealt with a major situation in this province,” he said.

Pereira Alfredo said he interacted several times with the deceased to discuss matters linked to the province of Huambo, as a man involved in issues related to local development.

In turn, parliamentarian Dolina Miguel Nassocópia Tchinhama said he was a colleague, companion and office neighbor, with whom she maintained a healthy parliamentary relationship.

Monteiro Eliseu, graduated in Political Science and International Relations, was part of the 9th Committee on Mandates, Ethics and Parliamentary Decorum of the National Assembly.
