Africa-Press – Angola. Gross credit granted to the non-financial sector amounted to Kz 4.83 billion in April, an increase of Kz 217.03 billion (4.70%) compared to the same period last year.
Of this credit granted by commercial banks, 91.50% represents private sector debt, ie private companies and individuals.
The remainder, 8.50%, represents the public sector’s indebtedness, with emphasis on government and public companies, according to the monthly information published by the Central Bank.
Of the loan granted, the debt of the non-financial public sector is 410.79 billion kwanzas, of which 58.17% refers to public administration and 41.83% to companies also in the public sector.
Compared to the same period last year, there was an increase of 29.81 billion kwanzas in loans.
The same report mentions that the private sector’s indebtedness also increased by Kz 187.22 billion, representing 4.42% compared to the same period last year.
This went from Kz 4.23 billion in April 2022 to Kz 4.42 billion in April this year.
Of this value, the indebtedness of non-financial private companies corresponds to Kz 3.53 billion, and that of individuals stood at Kz 888.11 billion.
Housing receives thousands
Mortgage loans granted to individuals totaled Kz 167.17 billion.
Of this amount, 51.19 billion kwanzas were granted to the Shelter of Notice 09/2022, of 6 April, representing 30.62% of the total amount.
For the real economy, in April this year, gross credit to the non-financial sector totaled AOA 1.03 billion, representing 23.61% of gross credit to the banking sector.
Compared to the same period last year, there was a decrease of 78.80 billion kwanzas.
Of the total credit granted to the non-financial sector and allocated to the real economy, 84.89% were delivered within the scope of the BNA Notices on the promotion of the economic sector, in the amount of 873.71 billion kwanzas.
The beneficiaries of these loans were the manufacturing industry, mining, agriculture, animal production, hunting, forestry and fishing.
