Africa-Press – Angola. The minister of Industry and Commerce, Víctor dos Santos Fernandes, declared, Thursday (12), in Viana, province of Luanda, that the ministerial department he directs supports any type of event that aims to promote national production.

Minister Víctor Fernandes, who was speaking to the press at the Manufactured Products Fair in Angola, where he made a surprise visit, said he liked what he saw on display at the fair, highlighting the diversity of national products.

The Minister of Industry and Commerce said that his visit to the fair, which will take place until Sunday, in the municipality of Viana, was aimed at “witnessing a private initiative, which values ​​national production”.

Víctor Fernandes said that it is “important that fairs of this nature, which enhance national production, are possible” and emphasized the fact that the fair is taking place in Viana, as it is a municipality with “a lot of industrial strength”.

“We are very interested in national production being increasingly valued”, declared the minister, stressing that “Angola, in order to acquire capacity and guarantee full employment, has to industrialize”. The minister of Industry and Commerce stated that “industrialization is the future of the country, from the point of view of guaranteeing jobs for young people”.

Víctor Fernandes confirmed that the Ministry of Industry and Commerce institutionally supports the Manufactured Products Fair in Angola, which is held with the participation of more than 300 exhibitors representing the provinces of Luanda, Benguela, Bié, Cabinda, Cuando Cubango, Cuanza-Sul and Cuanza Norte.

“This initiative serves as a showcase for what the resilient entrepreneurs of the municipality of Viana, and beyond, have done for the generation of jobs and we, the Government, have to associate ourselves and we do it with great pleasure”, underlined the minister. Victor Fernandes.
