Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, Friday appointed Guilhermina Contreiras da Costa Prata as Angola’s ambassador to France.

According to a press release from the Presidential Palace, previously, João Lourenço, for convenience of service, exonerated João Bernardo de Miranda from the position of ambassador in that country.

Born on May 8, 1952, Guilhermina Prata has a degree in Law from the Agostinho Neto University (1985) and a Masters in Legal and Business Sciences from the same Angolan institution, in collaboration with the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra, Portugal.

She was a member of the National Assembly, Minister of Justice and vice-president of the Constitutional Court.

She is a member of the Association of Angolan Jurists, of the International Federation of Women in the Legal Career and was a member of the Eventual Commission for Constitutional Revision of the National Assembly, the Constitutional Commission and the Technical Commission for Constitutional Issues.
