Africa-Press – Angola. The African Trampoline Gymnastics Championship, initially scheduled from the 15th to the 19th of this month in the Kingdom of Morocco, has been postponed to February 2023 in the same location.

The vice-president of the Angolan Gymnastics Federation, Carlos de Oliveira, informed that the postponement is the result of a request from the organizing country addressed to the governing body of the sport in Africa.

According to the person in charge, due to this alteration, the group consisting of seven athletes, was dismissed for the Christmas and end of the year festivities, and should concentrate after the announcement of new dates.

Gymnasts Pedro Sacupuepua, Repene Magalhães (Lunda Sul), Anibal Luacuti, Asser António (Pimpampum de Benguela), Samba Mahula (Sporting do Bié), Massoje Canhanga (Sporting da Huíla) and Angelina Calitoco (Namibe) were summoned for this competition.

During the competition, athletes will be submitted to exercises in double mini and tambling devices.

South Africa, Algeria, Egypt and Namibia are the remaining countries that will compete in the event.

Angola, remember, became continental champion in 2018, in Egypt.
