Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, is due, starting this Tuesday, on a 48-hour visit to the city of Menongue, Cuando Cubango province, with the aim of attending military maneuvers by the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) .

According to a note from the Press Secretary of the Presidency of the Republic, João Lourenço witnesses the military exercise as Commander-in-Chief of the FAA, on the 9th (Tuesday) , in the polygon prepared for this purpose, with the involvement of personnel and technical means from the three branches of the Armed Forces.

On Wednesday (the 10th), the President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Angolan Armed Forces will hold a meeting on the general situation of the FAA in its multiple aspects, says the press release.

The Angolan Armed Forces are made up of three branches, namely the Army, Air Force and Navy.

Its structure dates back to October 9, 1991, when they were founded.
