Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, this Thursday congratulated all the children, on the occasion of the World Day of this fringe of society, which is celebrated yesterday (June 1st).
The congratulations were expressed by the Angolan Head of State on his account on the social network Facebook, noting that the commemoration of the date takes place at a time when the Executive’s actions are aimed at the protection and integral development of the child.
“My warm embrace goes out to all the children” and “happy Children’s Day to all”, wrote the Head of Executive Power.
World Children’s Day was proclaimed in 1925 in Geneva (Switzerland) during the World Conference for the Welfare of Children.
Since then, the date has been celebrated annually on June 1 in several countries.
