Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, returned to Luanda, after a working visit to the province of Lunda Sul, where he inaugurated the new facilities of the Higher Polytechnic Institute of the Lueji A’nkonde University on Friday (14).
Upon arrival, the Head of State, accompanied by the First Lady, Ana Dias Lourenço, received greetings from the Vice President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, and members of the Executive.
Located in the municipality of Muangueji, approximately six kilometers from the center of the city of Saurimo, the new facilities of this newly inaugurated institution offer a modern infrastructure with 57
classrooms.
The institution, budgeted at over $45 million, will offer 13 courses, including civil engineering, electricity, mining, mechanics, history, computer science, electro mechanics, metallurgy, mathematics,
education, nursing, biology, and administration and management.
It has a capacity for 5,400 students in three shifts (morning, afternoon, and evening) and currently has 1,207 places available.
