Africa-Press – Angola. The promotion of actions linked to the promotion of national agricultural production and the reduction of imports of food goods was highlighted, this Tuesday, Ondjiva, by the first secretary of JMPLA in Cunene, Marcelino dos Santos.
The youth leader made this statement, when analyzing the message on the State of the Nation, from the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, highlighting the Executive’s investments in financing family farming and other macroeconomic projects that aim to stimulate national production and reduce imports from basic basket products.
“The measures announced within the scope of agricultural promotion programs are very valuable, as agriculture plays an extremely important role in society”, he stated.
He mentioned that in the first instance the President made a historical summary of the factors that impact the full implementation of public policies.
Marcelino dos Santos said that another positive note was the announcement of the opening of the new Ondjiva General Hospital, at the beginning of 2024, which will provide quality medical care to the population.
The speech was considered hopeful as it touched on the main points as guidelines for building a society of peace, justice and social progress for all Angolans.
Meanwhile, JMPLA brought together young people from different social backgrounds at the António Didalelwa Media Library to follow a speech that served as a reflection on the reality of the country’s main lines.
