Africa-Press – Angola. Hotel managers from the province of Uíge will participate from this Monday, at the provincial headquarters, in the training seminar on hotels, restaurants and similar, in order to improve the services provided in the region.
Promoted by the Provincial Office of Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports of Uíge, the five-day training aims to provide trainees with knowledge about tourist guiding, hotel service, creating a travel agency and other tourist investments.
At the event, the provincial vice-governor for the Political, Social and Economic Sector of Uíge, Sónia Arlete, highlighted the need to invest more in training staff in the area of tourism and training tourist guides, bets that could attract investors in the region .
Sónia Arlete recalled that the province has vast tourist sites, requiring only greater publicity from tourist guides.
The province of Uíge has 104 tourist attractions listed, including caves, waterfalls, lagoons, rivers and monuments and sites.
In addition to hotel managers, the training also included the participation of hotel employees, traditional authorities, municipal cultural directors and businesspeople.
