Africa-Press – Angola. The Investment Conference in the Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas Sector, to be held on the 23rd of this month in the province of Huambo, will be one of the main events included in the range of activities in reference to the Technical and Scientific Conferences of the Mining Workers’ Day, starting tomorrow until the 27th.Under the motto “Responsible Mining, Bright Future”, the opening of the Mining Workers’ Days will be marked by a lecture on the history of mining workers, starting at 9:00 am, in the Albina Assis Amphitheatre, preceded by the opening message to be given by the Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo.
The programme also includes the Mining Workers’ Educational Fair in Angola, scheduled for Wednesday in the Mirempet car park tent, on the same day that the main auditorium of the Talatona Convention Centre will host the Catoca Journalism Award Gala.
The event will be marked by a series of cultural and sporting activities, including the launch of a literary work by the writer and journalist Soberano Kanyanga, the Grand Prix in Cycling and Futsal and Chess tournaments.
