Africa-Press – Angola. The first secretary of JMPLA in Huambo, José Carlos Tombo, appealed, this Saturday, for a greater insertion of militants in society, with well-defined strategies capable of assisting the Executive in improving the common well-being.

The youth leader, who was speaking at the VII ordinary plenary session of the JMPLA Provincial Committee in Huambo, considered that, despite the satisfactory results obtained in the August 24 elections, the commitment of militants to society should be improved, to assist the Executive in resolving of citizens’ problems.

José Carlos Tombo said it was important to continue to focus on mobilizing young people around the party and raising political and patriotic awareness, in addition to permanently monitoring the implementation of the governance program for the 2022-2027 five-year period, with a focus on development. socioeconomic.

To the members of the provincial government, José Carlos Tombo asked for periodic communication with the commissions of residents of neighborhoods, churches, traditional authorities and other segments of society, under the slogan “Work more and communicate better”.

The VII ordinary plenary session of the JMPLA Provincial Committee in Huambo analyzed the report of the electoral campaign that preceded the general elections of 24 August, whose results culminated in the MPLA’s fifth victory at the polls.

According to the final results of the August 24 elections, released by the National Electoral Commission, the MPLA obtained, in the provincial district of Huambo, 308,731 out of a total of 561,326 votes. With that result, the party elected three deputies.
