Africa-Press – Angola. The Ministry of Economy and Planning intends to carry out the first mini – edition of the Startup Challenge in the province of Huíla.
The information was provided, this Saturday by the holder of the portfolio, Mário Caetano João, during the closing ceremony of the 2nd Edition of the Angola Startup Summit 2023, held from the 27th to the 29th, in Luanda. .
“We decided to create a mini event that will culminate in the third edition of the Startup Summit”, he said.
Speaking to the press, at the end of the gala awarding the best Startup, Mário Caetano João, without giving a date for the event, said that the province of Huíla was selected due to the commitment shown by young people during the 2nd Edition of Angola Startup Summit 2023.
For the official, a greater commitment should be made to young people from the province of Huíla for their boldness, innovation, dedication and technology that they presented and that could serve to solve the various challenges that the country faces.
According to Caetano João, challenges such as accelerating the catering service, solving the parking issue in Luanda and projects related to Agribusiness are proof of competence and merit of monitoring by financial institutions for the maturing of the young participants’ businesses.
The minister recalled that the first edition had the participation of 30 Star-ups, the second with 160 and for the third edition 500.Giz.MAG are expected to participate.
