Africa-Press – Angola. Four State vehicles, allegedly diverted and sold to third parties, were recovered last weekend by the General Inspectorate of State Administration (IGAE), in the province of Zaire.

These are three Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles and a MAN tanker truck, seized following an inspection carried out by IGAE, in partnership with staff from the Criminal Offenses Investigation Department (DIIP) of the Zaire Provincial Command. of the National Police.

Speaking to the press this Monday, the spokesperson for the Zaire Provincial Command of the National Police, quartermaster Luís Bernardo, said that the seized vehicles belonged to the National Demining Institute (INAD) in the region.

According to the spokesperson, of the four vehicles diverted from the State’s Local Administration, two were sold in the municipality of Tomboco, one in Mbanza Kongo and the other in the Mabor neighborhood, in Luanda.

Luís Bernardo said that the presumed people involved in this action have already been identified, and the General Inspectorate of State Administration is preparing a report that will be sent to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in the region, to issue arrest warrants for the perpetrators.

“The fact that they were not caught, IGAE chose to prepare a report to be sent to the deputy prosecutor in the province of Zaire, who, in turn, will issue an arrest warrant for the alleged perpetrators”, he explained.

This is the first action to recover State assets that IGAE has carried out in the province of Zaire since the beginning of this year.
