Africa-Press – Angola. The project to modernise the platform of the National Institute for Scholarship Management (INAGBE), to be completed in September this year, will simplify and optimise the scholarship management process in Angola, the director of the institution assured yesterday in Luanda. Speaking to Jornal de Angola, Domingos Canguende assured that the project, to be completed in September, will bring many benefits to scholarship students and will help to streamline the experience with the institution’s portal.
Among the benefits of the new system, he described, are ease of access and interaction with the portal, simplification of processes, greater transparency and monitoring, reduced travel and increased efficiency, accessibility and inclusion. “On this new platform, scholarship holders will be able to access all services at any time and place”, he highlighted. The services, he continued, will also be supported by a WhatsApp network and call center. “The idea is to promote regular dialogue between INAGBE services and the public,” he said, in addition to highlighting the impact of such initiatives on the institution’s services and its commitment to innovation.
Investments
The Director General of INAGBE highlighted the positive impact of the Institute on the process of training staff at the country level. “Over these 45 years, the results of the investment made by the Government in staff training are visible,” he said.
Since its foundation, he said, INAGBE has already awarded 100,000 internal scholarships in Angolan Higher Education institutions. The highlight of this process, he said, has been the allocation of quotas for students who are children of former combatants and veterans of the country and those with disabilities.Over the years, he stressed, 11,000 external scholarships were also granted in more than 20 countries, with emphasis on Brazil, Cuba, Russia, China, Portugal, Hungary and South Africa, in strategic areas, particularly Medical and Health Sciences, Engineering and Technologies, Social and Human Sciences, Education and Teacher Training and Agriculture and Fisheries.
