Three cooperation agreements to strengthen the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem in Angola were initialed, this Friday, in Luanda, between the National Institute of Support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM), the Entrepreneur Academy of Luanda (AEL), BFA Gestão de Activos and the Macau Entrepreneurship and Innovation Association – China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.
The protocols, signed in the space where the 3rd edition of the “Angola Startup/2024” summit is taking place, serve to support entrepreneurs through business training, financing and international exchange actions.
Speaking to the press, after the signing, INAPEM ‘s PCA , João Nkosi, said that the agreement with AEL aims to define a monitoring plan for entrepreneurs who are being trained by this academy and need to pay special attention when accessing the market. internal.
He explained that INAPEM brings the main services that compete for this support, creating the conditions to help entrepreneurs.
Regarding the agreement with BFA Gestão de Activos, he said that a support instrument will be made available to micro, small and medium-sized companies in the field of financing, which could allow these companies to have certain monitoring with this banking institution.
As for the Macau Association, the manager considers it to be a partner that will help INAPEM to relaunch initiatives that compete for access to foreign markets.
In turn, the president of the Executive Committee of BFA Gestão de Activos, Rui Oliveira, explained that the venture capital fund will be able to finance young entrepreneurs, with the intention of capitalizing around 20 million dollars, very focused on agriculture. -business, for a period of 10 years of financing and monitoring.
However, the president of the Macau Entrepreneurship and Innovation Association – China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, Marco Rizzolio, said he hopes that, with the agreement, Angolan entrepreneurs will be able to explore the Chinese market, “through their potential in technology and innovation ”.
Taking place under the motto “Foster new business models and verticals”, the 3rd edition of the “Angola Startup/2024” summit, which is scheduled to end saturday, is organized by INAPEM, in partnership with Unitel.
The Startup holds leadership conferences on entrepreneurship and innovation, with the aim of searching for investment opportunities.
It opens up paths for accelerating and incubating ideation into the market, as well as adding facilities and financing instruments for participants, offering alternative solutions to emerging projects, adjustable to the stages of entrepreneurial initiatives.
At the event, emerging companies have all ecosystem stakeholders at their disposal, namely incubators, accelerators, investors, study centers and banking and non-banking financial institutions.
