Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, inaugurated this Wednesday, in Doha, the premises of the Embassy of Angola in the State of Qatar.

The inauguration of the Angolan diplomatic mission took place on the sidelines of the visit of the holder of the Foreign Affairs portfolio to the capital Doha, where he traveled as special envoy of the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, minister Téte António, accompanied by the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Angola in Qatar, António Coelho Ramos da Cruz, visited the facilities and found out about the functioning of the diplomatic mission.

Bilateral cooperation between Angola and the State of Qatar has evolved significantly in recent years, with both countries being important producers and exporters of oil and gas, areas in which the partnership currently focuses.

Qatar has the third largest natural gas reserves in the world, as well as considerable oil reserves, with a low public debt, strong public accounts and political and social stability.

The country also has a high per capita income, good business environment, reconciliation with the Persian Gulf nations, efficient infrastructure and logistical services, diversification of industries, robust financial market and an excellent human development index.
