Africa-Press – Angola. The National Institute of Employment and Professional Training (INEFOP), in the province of Bié, has the target, for 2024, of training more than three thousand citizens in the various technical-professional specialties, compared to two thousand and 157 last year.
This intention was expressed Wednesday, by the head of INEFOP’s provincial services in Bié, Filipe Sitaqui Paquissi, in statements, when he spoke about the preparations for the 2024 training cycle, which is scheduled to start next February.
From this perspective, according to the person responsible, the aim is to guarantee a greater training offer, in order to respond to the high demand from citizens, especially young people, who have expressed a high interest in technical-professional training.
Filipe Sitaqui Paquissi explained that citizens will be trained at the level of the five units supervised by INEFOP in the province of Bié, in the areas of cutting and sewing, bricklaying, carpentry, metalwork, electronics, assembly of satellite dishes, plumbing, electricity, carpentry, pastry, event and arts decoration, cooking, manicure, hairdressing, IT from the user’s perspective, among others.
Regarding the balance of the 2023 training cycle, he considered it positive, judging by the satisfactory performance of the two thousand and 157 citizens who successfully completed the training actions.
He pointed out that courses in manicure, pedicure, hairdressing, cutting and sewing, pastry, cooking and decoration are the most sought after by women, while those in electronics, electricity, auto mechanics and plumbing have been more popular among men.
More trainers reinforce pedagogical plan
On the occasion, Filipe Sitaqui Paquissi informed the classification of 21 new trainers, hired as part of the public competition held last year by the Single Recruitment Entity for Staff of the State’s Central Administration, supervised by the National School of Public Administration (ENAP).
With this number, the total number of trainers the institution has in the province rises to 48.
Even so, he considered the figure to be far below what was desired, taking into account the market challenges.
INEFOP in Bié has five training units and three employment centers
In the case of training units, these are the Integrated Center for Employment and Professional Training in Cuito, the Professional Training Pavilion for Arts and Crafts in Cunje, Camacupa, Andulo, the extensive rooms in Chinguar and a mobile center.
As for the three employment centers, they are located in the municipalities of Cuito, Andulo and Chinguari.
