Africa-Press – Angola. 1,536 citizens will be trained this year in various specialties, both long and short-term, by the National Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (INEFOP), in the province of Cuando Cubango.

In 2022, INEFOP trained 1,230 young people in basic computer skills, Excel, locksmithing, mechanics, electricity, accounting, among others, the same courses that will initially be given to young people this year, whose training begins during this month.

Speaking to press today, Friday, the head of the National Institute of Employment and Professional Training (INEFOP) in Cuando Cubango, Xavier Chicuata, said that the classes will be given in the institution’s arts and crafts workshops, within the scope of the strategies of the Angolan Executive aligned with the promotion of self-employment.

The official said that he is working with the municipal administrations of Mavinga, Rivungo and Nankova, so that young people from these municipalities have access to professional training.

Implementation of PAPE in Cuando Cubango

Within the framework of the Action Plan for the Promotion of Employability (PAPE), the official informed that 3,136 young people will be trained in eight municipalities, villages and communes, in the areas of repairing telephones, table and bar, cutting and sewing, assembly of satellite dishes, agriculture, air conditioning, barbershop, hairdresser.

200 young people from the municipalities of Manongue, capital of Cuando Cubango, Cuito Cuanavale and Cuchi have already registered.
