Africa-Press – Angola. Interclube has seven foreign players for the 2023/24 season, aiming to win, for the third time, the “Girabola” National Football Championship, after the achievements of 2007 and 2010.
These are Jefferson (ex-Operário FC do Brasil), Benvindo (ex-Académica do Lobito), Lucas (ex-Olimpic Clube do Congo), Yuri André (ex-Lusitano Évora de Portugal), Simão (ex-Anadia FC from Portugal), Osah (ex-Bendel Insurance FC from Nigeria) and Gladilson (ex-Hanrum Spartans from Spain).
The football season opens on Saturday with the Super Cup dispute between Petro de Luanda and Académica do Lobito, at the Ombaka stadium, in Benguela.
The “Girabola`2023-24” National Championship should start on the 13th, at a time when the federation still proposes to listen to the clubs to maintain the date or not.
In the first round of the national competition, the team assigned to the Ministry of the Interior visits Desportivo da Huíla, at the Tundavala stadium.
