Africa-Press – Angola. Angola has saved, from 2019 to date, around 143 billion kwanzas (US$328.9 million) as a result of investments made by the Executive in the electricity sector.
The information was released this Tuesday, in Luanda, at the 6th edition of “Café CIPRA – Dialogue Without Mediation”, which addressed the theme “The Electrification of the Country and Its Impact on Attracting Investments”, by the Secretary of State for Energy.
According to the Secretary of State for Energy, António Belsa da Costa, expenditure on fuel for the operation of thermal power plants, until then estimated at 230 billion kwanzas, reduced to 87 billion due to the entry of new hydroelectric plants and also of combined electricity production systems.
