The Israeli ambassador to Angola, Shimon Solomon, who concluded a two-day working visit to the province of Uíge on Thursday, praised the region’s climate and soil conditions, considering them favourable for the cultivation of various products. Shimon Solomon said that these conditions represent a positive factor that could motivate various Israeli investments in the province of Uíge, within the framework of the existing cooperation in the field of agriculture between the two countries (Angola and Israel).
“We want to invest in coffee cultivation, but the soils of Uíge are also favourable for various other products. We had a long conversation with the provincial governor, to whom we spoke about the vast knowledge that Israel has in the agricultural sector. We expressed our willingness to share our knowledge”, he said.The provincial governor of Uíge, José Carvalho da Rocha, expressed his satisfaction with the Israeli diplomat’s visit to the region, considering that the gesture reaffirms the importance of the province in the context of the country, as it offers several business opportunities to potential investors.
During the two days of work in Uíge, the Israeli ambassador to Angola and other members of his delegation visited one of the coffee farms located in the municipality of Uíge.
