ITEL launches 216 new staff for the job market

Africa-Press – Angola. The Telecommunications Institute (ITEL) launched 216 new staff trained in the telecommunications and information technology sector into the job market, in a ceremony held yesterday in Luanda.

Of the recent graduates, 97 specialized in Electronics and Telecommunications, 88 in Information Technology and another 31 attended the course in Information Technology and Multimedia Systems.

On the occasion, the director general of ITEL, Cláudio Gonçalves, considered that technical and professional training plays a vital role in the progress and development of Angola.

The official recalled the commitment of the Telecommunications Institute to train students with relevant skills and knowledge, preparing them to face the challenges and opportunities in the dynamic world of telecommunications and information technologies.

The director encouraged students to “be sources of inspiration for others” and guided them to use skills and competences to make a difference in the world, both professionally and in the community in which they are inserted.

Seeing the step taken as the beginning of the journey, he reminded the newly graduated technicians that learning is continuous and the uninterrupted effort to acquire knowledge will be fundamental for personal and professional growth.

In turn, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Unitel, Aguinaldo Jaime, considered investment in education through training a guarantee of a better future in terms of economic progress.

“What makes a rich country rich is the quality of its human resources. Only when we have qualified human resources to transform the country’s potential and put it at the service of the well-being of our populations, then we can say that we are a rich country ”he concluded.

In the second diploma award ceremony for final year students of the 2022/23 academic year at ITEL, a high school institution, former pedagogical directors and a former teacher were honored.

The Telecommunications Institute is an institution highlighted as a fundamental pillar in the development of technical education in Angola.
