Africa-Press – Angola. The municipal administration of Jamba Mineira, in Huíla province, will present at the 5th edition of the Fair of Municipalities and Cities of Angola (FMCA), the mineral, water, tourism and cultural potential, with the aim of attracting new investments.

At the event, taking place from 07 to 10 of this month in Benguela, the delegation of the municipality that travelled Monday, took samples of iron, cereals, tubers, citrus fruits and images of natural landscapes, as well as the availability of arable land for the exhibition, according to its administrator, Luís Marcelo.

He added that inland fishing, livestock and beekeeping will also be on display at the stand, with the sole objective of mobilizing investments and capturing the interest of the business class in betting on the municipality.

Luís Marcelo said that in addition to showing the country and the world what Jamba Mineira has to offer, the main objective of this participation is to attract new investors, exchange experiences and establish partnerships in various fields.

Local statistics indicate that there are more than 50,000 hectares of arable land and 12,000 hectares are in irrigable areas, but areas bathed by the Colui, Calonga and Kwandja rivers, as well as two dense lagoons that derive from these watercourses, remain untapped.

In addition to agriculture, it needs to invest in continental fishing and the timber industry, because although the vegetation is dominated by woody formations, it has several favorable species in wood.

Located 315 kilometers east of Lubango, Jamba Mineira has an estimated population of more than 100 thousand inhabitants.
